About me
Thomas Reijerkerk
Fifteen years ago, a shoulder fracture ended my rowing career overnight. Running started as a way to maintain aerobic fitness, but I quickly grew to love it. Both sports are built on repetition, and in both, the small details make the biggest difference.
Like many runners, I experienced shin splints, calf issues and Achilles problems. Mostly from training too hard, too often, and without structure. As a physiotherapist, I began seeing the same patterns in others: recurring injuries, frustration, and a lack of guidance.
That’s when I decided to combine my experience as a physiotherapist with everything I’d learned through running on the road, on the trails and through injury myself.
What drives me most is seeing a runner arrive at the start line with confidence. Knowing they’ve put in the work, week after week and session after session. The race itself is simply the reward at the end of the process. Most runners don’t need to train harder. They need to train smarter and more consistently.
That’s what I aim to provide: structure and clarity. Knowing when to push, when to hold back and how to train consistently without breaking down. In your training, your progression and your recovery. So you can keep improving consistently, become a stronger runner and continue doing what you love.
Whether you're lacing up for the first time or chasing a new personal best, you're in the right place. I work with runners of all levels and distances, based in Amsterdam but coaching internationally. Distance is no barrier to good guidance.
Every runner is different, which is why good training starts with understanding where you are today. Book your free intake. No obligations, just an honest conversation about your goals, your training, and how to move forward. Have a question first? Feel free to reach out.
